Mined and processed under strict quality control, our garnet features high hardness, sharp angular grains, zero free silica and strong chemical stability. For mining operations, it excels in two core scenarios: high-pressure abrasive blasting to clean rusted mining equipment, ore processing machinery and steel mine infrastructure; and as heavy-duty filter media for mine wastewater treatment, efficiently removing suspended solids, heavy metal residues and sediment to meet mine environmental discharge standards.

Compared with traditional abrasives, our garnet generates minimal hazardous dust, boasts excellent recyclability to cut mine operating costs, and complies with global mining safety and environmental regulations. We offer customizable mesh sizes and stable bulk supply, perfectly matching long-term large-scale mining project demands.

Base Material: Almandine Garnet
Hardness: 7.5–8 Mohs, sharp angular grains, low dust, free of free silica, compliant with underground mine safety standards. Spessartine garnet is not recommended for mining due to lower hardness, only suitable for light polishing.

1. Sandblasting for Mining Equipment (Underground Supports, Mine Cars, Pipelines, Steel Structures)

Heavy Rust Removal (Thick Scale & Heavy Corrosion on Heavy Mining Machinery)

Recommended Grades: 12/20 mesh, 8/16 meshCoarse grains with strong impact force, one-step removal of heavy rust and mill scale; surface roughness 80–160 μm. Ideal for roadheaders, scraper conveyors and mine hopper cars refurbishment.

General Mining Sandblasting (Most Widely Used Standard Grade)

Recommended Grade: 20/40 mesh (Standard for Mining Sites)Balanced blasting efficiency and dust control, priority choice for confined underground spaces. Meets Sa2.5 anti-corrosion standard, applicable to hydraulic supports, ventilation ducts and steel platforms. Reusable 3–5 times with high cost performance; surface roughness 50–90 μm.

Light Cleaning for Thin Workpieces, Stainless Pipes & Precision Instruments

Recommended Grade: 30/60 meshFine particles without damaging thin substrates, for derusting & paint stripping of underground stainless pipelines, valves and precision mining gauges.

2. Waterjet Cutting (Ore Sampling, Steel Plates, Support Steel, Wear Liners)

Standard Grades: 60 mesh / 80 mesh

Thick steel & hard ore cutting: 60 mesh, powerful cutting capacity, high cutting speed
Thin stainless steel & delicate ore sampling: 80 mesh, smooth burr-free cutting surfaceNote: Coarse 20/40 mesh garnet is forbidden for waterjet service, as it causes severe nozzle abrasion and sand line blockage.

3. Underground Mine Wastewater & Circulating Water Filtration

Filter Grade Garnet: 12/40 meshSpecific gravity: 3.9–4.2, stable filter bed stratification, effective interception of mineral powder and heavy metal suspended solids. Acid & alkali resistant, non-pulverizing, standard bottom bedding media for mine water filter tanks.
