Bianstone Tool Used: Bianstone Slab
Procedures: 1. Comprehensive group: do pushing method and scraping method of Bianstone slab on Du Channel and Gallbladder Channel, supplemented with cupping and electric needles.
2. Compare and contrast with the group receiving electric acupuncture therapy.
Results: Effect rates: The comprehensive group: 88.6%, The electric needle group: 80.0%. There is significant clinical difference between the two groups, which shows Bianstone therapy supplemented with cupping and electric needles is better than the sole use of electric needles.
Discussion: Bianstones have fine textures. When they are rubbed against human bodies, their abundant ultrasonic pulses, together with infrared radiation that has an exceedingly wide frequency band, exert a unique biophysical effect on human bodies. Bianstone slab is handy, offsetting the position restriction in the case of traditional cupping therapy.
